March 3-4, 2017 | Wood Window Repair Certification Course
On March 3 and 4, the Rehabber Club will host a Historic Wood Window Repair Certification Class at the Richter House in Hemisfair Park. Course participants will actively contribute to the restoration and repair of the Richter House's historic wood windows, including sashes, frames, glazing, and sills. The event will be facilitated by Victor Salas, master craftsman with ARTchitectural Interiors. All tools, safety gear, and instructional material will be provided (along with breakfast, lunch, and coffee to fuel your work!).
There are two options for event participants: the certification course and the homeowner course. The certification course spans both days, and will cover window removal, disassembly, reassembly, reglazing, weatherproofing, and advanced repair techniques. The single-day homeowner course will focus on the resources available for homeowners and hands-on instruction from participating contractors.
At the end of the course, two-day participants will receive a certificate of completion and will be added to our Contractor List for wood window repair.
