In 2016, the Office of Historic Preservation launched the the Rehabber Club in response to a common problem.
There are plenty of people in San Antonio who would like to begin a rehabilitation project but simply don’t know where to begin. Or maybe they aren’t able to connect with the experts or resources they need for a project.

Our Mission
The Rehabber Club mission is to build and support a network of do-it-yourselfers, craftsmen, contractors, historic homeowners, realtors, and everyday citizens to revitalize San Antonio’s historic buildings. We accomplish this through networking, training, certification, and plain ole encouragement.
What We Do
Here's a sample of the impact the Rehabber Club has had in San Antonio through hands-on learning, community engagement, and workshops.
S.T.A.R. Program
S.T.A.R. (Students Together Achieving Revitalization) is a partnership that provides minor exterior home repairs and maintenance to homeowners within local historic districts and eligible historic districts.
Workshops & Certification
Rehabber Club hosts topic-specific workshops and training courses for both experts and novices alike. Past courses have included historic wood window repair, hazardous abatement, and porch repair.
Historic Homeowner Fair
The Historic Homeowner Fair is an annual one-day event that brings together historic homeowners with local professionals, services, products, and solutions.
