Contractor & Professional Certifications

 

We offer the following certifications for professionals with demonstrated experience in historic rehabilitation or completion of required trainings!

 

Historic Rehabilitation

  • Must have worked on at least three documented scopes requiring a Certificate of Appropriateness <or> document at least three projects involving rehabilitative scopes.

  • Licensed to work within City of San Antonio

  • No violations on file in last 5 years

Deconstruction

  • Completion of a deconstruction training offered by the City of San Antonio

  • Meets all other requirements to be issued a permit to deconstruct a building in accordance with the City’s Deconstruction Ordinance

Wood Window Repair & Restoration

  • Document at least three projects involving wood window rehabilitation

  • Completion of a past Rehabber Club Wood Window Certification Course

  • No violations on file in last 5 years

  • This specialized credential may be used in addition to Historic Rehabilitation!

Historic House Specialist (Realtors)

  • Completion of the San Antonio Board of Realtors CE training offered by the City’s Office of Historic Preservation

  • Must pass required course exam
