From the service provider: Habitat is a nonprofit housing organization working with San Antonio families in need of affordable homes. Help support our mission by shopping at one of three Habitat Home Centers in San Antonio! We sell new and gently used building supplies, furniture, cabinets, appliances, housewares/decor and more. Donations from the public are always welcome.

Habitat for Humanity also offers deconstruction services. Deconstruction is the selective dismantlement of building components, specifically for reuse, repurposing, recycling, and waste management. It is a method of harvesting what is commonly considered “waste” and reclaiming it into useful building material. The Habitat Home Centers’ Wrecking Crew provides non-structural deconstruction, also known as “soft stripping,” which consists of reclaiming non-structural components, appliances, doors, windows, and finish materials at a low cost.

Benefits to you and your community: reduce disposal costs and landfill fees plus donations can be an income tax write-off (visit your tax consultant for more information), while supporting a circular economy by keeping materials in the community and out of the landfill.
