 When pursuing the restoration or renovation of an existing or historic home, one of the many considerations is whether to hire an architect. Taught by local registered architect Scott Carpenter of Seventh Generation Design, this class will provide a practical understanding of the many roles of an architect in a renovation, best practices in designing a space, project scopes and their associated fee structures, and more. This class will primarily focus on working with an architect on a renovation project at the residential scale, but several concepts can be transferrable to new construction.
