June 26-27, 2021 | Wood Window Workshop: Introductory 2-Day Course for Beginners
Join our first in-person wood window workshop of 2021!
This small, 2-day workshop is intended for beginners with little to no experience with wood window repair.
Topics to be covered may include: tools, conditions assessments, removing sashes from the jamb/frame, re-glazing, stripping paint, minor patching and repair, and simple Dutchman repairs. This course is intended to be a foundational primer to wood window repair.
This course is ideal for both homeowners/occupants and budding contractors alike! If you are a homeowner, you’ll gain a foundational understanding of how historic wood windows were constructed in San Antonio, what tools and products are used to repair them to last another century, and optimal repair techniques. Prior attendees credit this course with instilling a sense of confidence in communicating with contractors! If you are interested in exploring wood window repair as a career (it’s in HIGH demand!), this is a great primer course.
